Two Saturdays a month Lowes has a kids clinic.
You can take your child and they create something with a hammer, nails, wood and even stickers sometimes. The kids get a Lowes apron, nametag, protective eye wear and patches for each project they complete. And it's all FREE!!
Trey has made a photo frame, spider, tape measure, fire engine, GMC truck...just to name a few. He loves it! And to be honest, Frank does too.
Daddy & Trey workin' hard.
Team Work!
The finished product...a firetruck! And two happy guys!
They love doing it and I love watching them. It's great father and son time. However, I have seen quite a few girls and mommies building stuff too!!
This coming Saturday, October 11th is the next one here at our Lowes.
It's a skeleton...
Have any of you made anything at Lowes???

My son and DIL have taken their boys to Lowe's for their kids' construction workshops too. They have made bird houses and other things, and really do enjoy it. I am so glad a big company like Lowe's has a neat program like this for the kids and their daddy's.
Mike and Ben just started doing it. They've come home with the tetherball set, school locker, GMC truck (which I attended w/them, it was awesome to watch them work), pirate ship (which Ben got to paint after he got home), and the fire truck.
We had planned to make the skeleton on Saturday but then I found out UC's homecoming parade is that morning and we usually go if the weather is nice. They usually keep the previous week's kits in case you miss a week and we figured that they could make both the skeleton and the pumpkin in two weeks.
Which reminds me, I've still got to sew Ben's patches on his apron.
